What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you, and allows you to grant funds to charities of your choice.

How do I give through a donor-advised fund?

The donor just needs to contact their broker/advisor of the DAF and have them send the funds to BHS. The funds are usually received with a check.

What information do I provide my advisor if donating through my donor-advised fund?

The information you need to give to your advisor is the organization name, address, and tax ID number.
